Moneyball Pickleball Pro is a full-stack tournament management platform for pickleball events. It handles player registration, pool play, playoff brackets, prize payouts, and DUPR score submission. It supports King & Queen of the Court, Mixed Doubles, Fixed Doubles, and Singles formats. Available on iOS, Android, and any web browser.

From the home screen, tap the green Create New Event button. Choose your event type: • Single Event — a standalone one-day tournament • Multi-Day — group multiple divisions under one umbrella (Operator plan) • Progressive Tour — season-long series with cumulative points (Empire plan) Fill in your event details (required fields are marked with *), then tap Create.

Player (Free) — Player profile, companion app, match history, DUPR tracking. No cost ever. Host — Create single events, Auto-Pilot mode, push notifications, manual payment tracking. Auto-Pilot runs your entire tournament hands-free (Host plan and above). It automatically: • Confirms scores when both teams agree • Generates playoff brackets when pool play ends • Reassigns courts the moment a match finishes • Flags disputes for your review • Forces Auto-Notify on so players always know when their court is ready For Round Robin Only events, Auto-Pilot skips bracket generation and notifies you when all pool matches are done so you can review standings and complete the event.

Bracket-Only mode skips pool play and goes straight to a seeded single-elimination bracket. Players are seeded by DUPR rating or manually. Useful for smaller events or when you want a faster format. Toggle it in the Tournament Mode section when creating or editing an event.

Round Robin Only runs pool play games but skips the elimination bracket entirely. Final standings from the round-robin determine the winner. Ideal for league nights, social events, or situations where equal game time matters more than a champion. When all matches are done, Auto-Pilot notifies you to review standings and complete the event.

Each match gets a unique QR code. Players scan it from their own phone to enter scores — no app install required. When both teams submit matching scores, the match auto-confirms, standings update live, and Auto-Pilot reassigns the court instantly.

Court assignment uses a priority system: 1. Lowest round number first 2. Most-behind pool by completion % within the same round 3. Same-court continuity preference (keeps a pool on the same court) 4. Match number as a tiebreaker Players in score_entered matches are considered free. Players in in_progress matches are busy — no player is double-booked.

Use Message Players in the tournament action menu. Choose your audience: • All Players • By Division (filter by gender, DUPR bracket, age group) • Individuals (hand-pick) • By Day Deliver via Push Notification, Email, or SMS (Empire plan, active events only). A live count shows exactly how many players will receive it before you send.

When pool play completes, you (or Auto-Pilot) generate the playoff bracket. Players are seeded by pool play standings. The bracket supports single elimination with configurable sizes. Playoff round labels — Quarterfinal, Semifinal, Final, Losers Final, Grand Finals, 3rd Place Match — are computed dynamically and shown consistently across all screens, score cards, and notifications.

Yes. Add Event Managers during event creation or afterward in the Edit form. Type a name or email to search — matching users from your past events appear as you type. Event managers can help run the tournament but don't have full owner access. Requires Operator plan or higher.

When the final match is confirmed, a Complete Tournament button appears. Tap it to lock results, archive the event, and initiate prize payouts. Completed events are still accessible from your home screen under the Done filter.

Players can register through: • The public signup link you share (or its QR code) • The Discover tab in the app — search by name, format, gender, age group, or distance • The organizer adding them manually in the Players tab No app install is required to register via the public signup page.

Each tournament has a personalized companion page for players — showing their schedule, live pool standings, match results, and court assignments. Players access it via a link in their confirmation email or from the Discover tab. No login required.

Players who register as "looking for a partner" appear in the Find a Partner list for that event. Others can browse and send a partner invitation. When the invitation is accepted, the pair is registered together. Partner invitations trigger push notifications for app users and email notifications for everyone. Available before and during registration.

Organizers set an age group on a tournament (Open, 18+, 35+, 50+, 65+, or a custom min/max). The system enforces the age requirement automatically at every registration entry point — public signup, organizer add-player, CSV import, and partner invitation acceptance. Ineligible players see a clear error and cannot register.

Organizers manage check-ins from the Players tab. A summary bar shows how many players have checked in vs. total. You can check in players one by one or use the Check In All button. Checked-in status is visible to you throughout the event.

Connect your Stripe Express account in Settings → Connect Stripe Account. Once connected, players pay their entry fee during registration via Stripe Checkout before their player record is created. Funds go directly to your Stripe account minus a platform fee. You can view collected payments, pending balance, and payouts from the Financials tab on any tournament.

From the web tournament dashboard, select a payout method for each placing (Venmo, Zelle, Cash App, Stripe, Cash, or Other). For Venmo/Zelle/Cash App: the winner receives a push notification asking them to share their payment handle. Once they provide it, you complete the transfer outside the platform and mark it paid. The winner confirms receipt in the app. For Stripe: funds are transferred directly. For Cash/Other: you mark it paid manually. Winners get a gold Pending Prize card on their home screen so no payout is ever missed.

Two modes: • Percentage — prize pool is a set % of total entry fees collected (e.g., 80% goes to prizes) • Fixed Amount — you set a specific dollar amount regardless of entries Prize Type can be Cash, Medals, or Mixed. All configured in the tournament settings.

Yes. Set your payment mode to In Person and mark players as paid manually from the Players tab. You can batch-mark multiple players paid at once. The Financials tab tracks your revenue regardless of payment method.

Sponsors are organized into three tiers: • Platinum — "Presented By" — largest placement, most visibility • Gold — "Sponsored By" — mid-tier • Silver — "Also Supported By" — supporting placement Sponsors appear in player emails, public signup pages, and spectator views. You can add sponsors at the tournament level or tour level. Manage them from the Sponsors section of any event or tour.

DUPR (Dynamic Universal Pickleball Rating) is the global pickleball rating system. Moneyball integrates with DUPR so you can: • Auto-lookup player ratings during registration • Enforce DUPR rating min/max cutoffs • Submit match scores for official rating updates • Enable DUPR SSO so players verify their account before play Full DUPR integration and sanctioning requires the Operator plan or higher.

Players tap Connect DUPR Account in Settings and sign in via DUPR SSO (Single Sign-On). Once linked, their doubles and singles ratings display on their profile and auto-populate during tournament registration.

For DUPR-sanctioned tournaments, scores are submitted to DUPR automatically after each match is confirmed. View submission status on the DUPR tab — each match shows whether it was successfully submitted, pending, or failed. You can resubmit individual matches if needed.

DUPR sanctioning locks as soon as any player registers. This protects score integrity — you can't retroactively enable or disable DUPR scoring after players sign up. Plan your DUPR settings before opening registration.

DUPR Bulk Verify (in the Players tab of sanctioned events) batch-checks every registrant's DUPR sanctioned status in one tap. Use SSO Filter & Notify to instantly message all players who haven't yet logged in via DUPR SSO so they can complete verification before play begins.

Go to Settings → Account Security and enable MFA. You can choose: • Authenticator app — 6-digit time-based code from Google Authenticator, Authy, or 1Password (recommended) • SMS — one-time code sent to your phone number Once enabled, every login requires your password plus the second factor.

Enable Biometric Lock in Settings → Account Security. The app automatically locks after 30 seconds in the background and requires Face ID or Touch ID to re-open. Available on any iOS or Android device with biometric hardware. Your biometric data never leaves your device.

On the login screen, tap Forgot Password and enter your email address. You'll receive a reset link by email. The link expires after a short period for security — request a new one if it expires before you use it.

Go to /web on any desktop or mobile browser. Log in with your account credentials, or pair with the mobile app using a 6-digit code from Settings → Pair Web Device. The web dashboard has full feature parity with the iOS app for all organizer functions.
